European stocks mostly climb

LONDON, Sept 3 (AFP): Europe's main stock markets mainly rose Monday, but Paris shares were hit by news of a merger between utility giants Suez and Gaz de France.
At the half-way mark, London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares increased by 0.41 per cent to 6,329.40 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.22 per cent to 7,655.19 points.
