Eurozone official industrial output falls in September

BRUSSELS, Nov 14 (AFP): Industrial production fell by 2.0 per cent across the 17-nation eurozone in September, official figures showed on Monday, with Italy recording a heavy slide.
Overall, production of capital goods dropped by 4.2 per cent while output of durable consumer goods slid by 3.8 per cent, the Eurostat data agency said after rising in previous months. Energy production slipped by 1.4 per cent.
Among eurozone nations where data was available, Italy logged a 4.8 per cent collapse while output in key producer Germany slipped by 2.9 per cent.
