EU\\\'s concern over abduction and killing spree

Recently, the member states of European Union have expressed their deep concern over the ongoing abduction, murder and extra judicial killing spree in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is getting negative publicity as a result of this and many prospective investors are confused whether to decide in favour of investment here. This is going to hurt our economy badly in the long run.
One of the key factors determining our relations with the development partners is the positive human rights situation. We must mend the situation without any delay, not because our aid donors want us to do so but because we should do it for the sake of governance and security of the masses.  We need to work towards a better future with all our development partners. We must not forget that we are heavily dependent on the rest of the world.
