Eve-teaser jailed in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, Apr 13 (UNB) : A mobile court Tuesday convicted an eve-teaser and sentenced him to six months imprisonment for harassing school girls. The convict was identified as Swapan (25), son of Ramjan Ali of the district town. Police said Swapan sexually harassed four girls of a primary school when they were returning home Tuesday afternoon. The victims instantly lodged a complaint with the local police station. Later, a team of DB police rushed to the spot and arrested Swapan red handed and produced him before the mobile court. Later, the mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Azharul Islam awarded the punishment. Earlier, the same court sentenced a drug peddler, Alamgir Hossain (22) of the town to six months imprisonment for possessing three intoxicating injections.
