EWU offers special prayers for victims of BDR carnage

A special prayer was offered, and a human chain was formed on East West University (EWU) campus Monday to condemn the brutal murder of valiant army officers and other innocent bystanders during the 25th February massacre at BDR Pilkhana headquarters, said a press release.
Jalaluddin Ahmed, president and other members of the board of directors, Mohammed Sharif, vice-chancellor (VC), pro-VC, deans, chairpersons, faculty members and a large number of EWU students participated in the human chain.
The event began at 11:45 am and ended at 12:25 pm in front of the EWU Administrative Building. A one-minute silence was observed, followed by a special prayer paying respect to the departed souls.
Afterwards, the president and all others present signed the condolence book opened on the campus.
