Ex-adviser Moinul dies

Former adviser to the Caretaker Government Maj Gen (retd) Moinul Hussain Chowdhury Bir Bikram died of lung cancer at a city hospital Sunday morning. He was 68, reports UNB.
He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Zohr prayers Sunday and later at Army Central Mosque at around 2:30pm. Later he was buried at the Military Graveyard in Banani with full military honour.
Gen Moinul was an adviser to the Caretaker Government in 2001.
Meanwhile, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed her deep shock at the death of Mr Moinul.
In a condolence message Sunday, Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia termed Mr Moinul as a courageous, competent and dedicated son of our motherland.
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her sympathy to the bereaved family members.
