Ex-BCL leader killed in city

A former leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in the city's Mogbazar area on Thursday evening. The deceased was identified as Mahbubur Rahman Rana, 32, former senior vice-president of Ramna thana unit of the ruling Awami League's student wing. Son of late Mozibur Rahman, Rana had been residing at Chairman Goli. Police said a gang of miscreants swooped on Rana at Masjid Goli near Mogbazar crossing at around 6:30 pm. — UNB
