Ex-BCL leader remanded in murder attempt case

A Dhaka court has placed former Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader Md Mukib Miah on a two-day remand in a case lodged over attempt to murder of Dhaka College student Majedul Islam during last year's July Uprising, reports BSS.
Mukib Miah was the Mass Education Affairs Secretary of banned BCL central committee and also a former assistant professor of a government college.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque passed the order on Tuesday.
