Ex-BNP minister LK Siddiqui\\\'s janaza held

The namaj-e-janaza of former Water Resources Minister and ex-Deputy Speaker LK Siddiqui was held at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) on Sunday morning. Chief Whip ASM Firoz, members of the parliament, senior secretary to Jatiya Sangsad Md Ashraful Makbul, officials of the JS Secretariat, among others, attended the janaza. The Assistant Military Secretary to the President placed wreaths at the coffin of LK Siddiqui on behalf of President Abdul Hamid while Chief Whip Feroz placed wreaths on behalf of Speaker Shirin Sharmeen Chaudhury. Besides, different political, social and cultural organisations paid their last respect to the former minister by placing wreaths at his coffin. LK Siddiqui passed away at a Singapore hospital on Friday morning at the age of 75. He will be buried at his family graveyard in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong district after Asr prayers today following several namaj-e-janazas in Dhaka and the port city, according to a news agency.
