Ex-BNP MP Salahuddin sent to jail

Two Dhaka courts on Sunday sent former BNP MP Salahuddin Ahmed to jail in eight cases. Metropolitan magistrates SM Ashiqur Rahman and M Moniruzzaman passed the orders when the BNP leader surrendered before their courts on expiry of the High Court bail. The cases were filed for killing people by torching vehicles, vandalising vehicles and obstructing cops from discharging their duties, according to a news agency.
