Ex-Editor of Bhorer Kagoj Benazir passes away

Former Editor of The Daily Bhorer Kagoj Benazir Ahmed died of a cardiac arrest in a city hospital on Tuesday morning. He was 69. Benazir Ahmed was taken to Ibn Sina Hospital from his sister's residence at Shankar in Dhanmondi with massive cardiac pain in the early hours of Tuesday and he expired around 4.10am. He was also the Executive Editor of 'Muldhara' and the Managing Editor of the Bhorer Kagoj for a long time. The body of the celibate has been kept at the mortuary of BIRDEM Hospital at Shahbagh. His body will be taken first to the Bhorer Kagoj office near Moghbazar-Mouchak More around 11am on Wednesday and his first namaj-e-janaza will be held there. Later, the body will be taken to National Press Club at noon to pay last respect to him and his second namaj-e-janaza will be held there. He will be buried at Banani Graveyard after Zohr prayers after his last namaj-e-janaza there. The hospital doctors, his sister Nazmun Nahar and brother-in-law Sayed Uddin Mahmud said, Benazir had been suffering from various diseases, including heart ailment, according to private TV channels.
