Ex-envoy Cyril Sikder dies

Former member of Awami League Advisory Council, former leader of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad and former Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal Cyril Sikder died of old age complications at his Tejturi Bazar residence in the city on Sunday, reports BSS. He was 77.
He left behind wife, one son, three daughters and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
Family members said the decision regarding his burial would be taken in consultation with his offspring after their return home from abroad.
In a condolence message, the USA unit of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Cyril Sikder.
