Ex-JCD gen secy Habib meets Khaleda

Habibur Rashid Habib, general secretary of recently dissolved Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) committee, met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday night. Habib went the BNP chief’s political office at Gulshan in the city at the night and greeted her with a bouquet. BNP student affairs assistant secretary Sultan Salauddin Tuku, JCD’s incumbent president Rajib Ahsan and general secretary Akramul Hasan were, among others, present. Habib was released from jail on Oct 21 after securing bail from the High Court. On September 27, immigration authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport arrested Habib in connection with a number of cases and handed him over to Airport Police Station. On Oct 14, a 201-member ‘partial’ committee of JCD, the associate student body of BNP, was announced, dissolving Abdul Quader Bhuiyan Jewel and Habib-led one, according to a news agency.
