Ex-JL leader succumbs to stab wounds

JASHORE, June 23 (UNB): A former Jubo League leader, who sustained stab injury in an attack at local Jubo League office on Ghop Central road of the district on Friday night, died on way to Dhaka early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Arafat Munaf Liton, 40, former joint secretary of district Jubo League.
Abul Bashar, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said that a group of miscreants numbering 25-30 stormed ward no 3 Jubo League office around 10 pm.
The miscreants stabbed Liton indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
Later, they fled the scene blasting two crude bombs which created panic in the area.
