Ex-JP minister Qaiser indicted for war crimes

Dismissing his discharge plea, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 Sunday indicted Syed Mohammad Qaiser, a former state minister during Ershad's regime, for his involvement in crimes against humanity including genocide of War of Liberation in 1971, reports UNB.
After reading out a 16-count charges, Justice Obaidul Hassan, chairman of the three-member tribunal, asked the accused in the dock, who is now enjoying conditional bail, whether he was guilty or not.
In reply, accused Qaiser pleaded not guilty of the charges brought against him.
