Ex-JP MP from Comilla Ansar Ahmed dies

Former Jatiya Party (JP) lawmaker from Comilla Sadar constituency Ansar Ahmed died at Samorita Hospital in the city on Tuesday morning. He was 66. Ansar, who had been undergoing treatment at the hospital after he suffered a brain stroke on Monday, was declared dead at about 6:00am. Ansar is survived by two sons and two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death. Ansar, who was born at Mogoltoli in Comilla city in 1947, was elected Member of Parliament (MP) two times – in 1986 and 1988, according to UNB.
