Tuesday, 21 January 2014

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to launch a probe into the allegation of illegal wealth accumulation by former judge Motahar Hossain.
“The ACC received a graft allegation against the former judge 2-3 weeks ago. After securitising the allegation, the Commission has decided to launch an inquiry into the alleged graft of the judge,” ACC commissioner M Shahabuddin told reporters at his office Tuesday afternoon.
He said it is alleged that former special judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Court Motahar Hossain accumulated huge movable and immovable wealth illegally and laundered money abroad when he was a judge, according to a news agency.
