Ex-minister's son sent to jail

Khondoker Mahbub Hossain, son of former health minister in BNP regime Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain, was arrested and sent to jail Tuesday on charges of embezzling Tk 4.8 million public funds with his minister father, reports bdnews24.com. brHe was taken to Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court for Dhaka at 100 pm where Dhaka additional chief metropolitan magistrate Md Golam Rabbani ordered him to jail. brBesides on an appeal from the investigation officer, Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) deputy assistant director Md Lutfor Rahman, the magistrate ordered that detained Mosharraf to be also shown arrested in the case.brRahman filed the case with Gulshan Police Station Monday that also accused former line director of the Directorate of Health Dr Mahbubur Rahman. brKhondoker Mahbub owns Swajan Travels International at Segun Bagicha in the city.
