Ex-MP GM Fazlul Haque's janaza held at JS South Plaza

The namaz-e-janaza of former MP GM Fazlul Haque was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban on Wednesday, reports UNB.
The namaz-e-janaza took place at 12:00 pm, led by Senior Imam of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, Muhammad Saifullah.
Speaker of the Jat iya Sangsad Hafiz Uddin Ahmed offered prayers for the deceased and expressed condolences to the bereaved family members and the people of Chandpur.
He described Fazlul Haque as a man of integrity who devoted himself to the service of the country.
The Speaker later placed a wreath on the coffin as a mark of respect.
Fazlul Haque passed away on Tuesday evening at a private hospital in the capital at the age of 78.
He was elected MP from Chandpur-3 constituency in the 7th and 8th Jatiya Sangsad elections held in 1996 and 2001 as a candidate of the BNP.
