Ex-MP Kabirul shown arrested in attempted murder case

A Dhaka court has showed former MP for Narail-1 constituency BM Kabirul Haque (Mukti) in a case lodged over alleged attempt to murder madrasa student during 2024 July Mass Uprising, reports BSS.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam passed the order on Wednesday as police produced Kabirul before the court and pleaded to show him arrested in the case. The court later sent him back to jail.
According to the case documents, madrasa student Nazim Uddin got shot on his head during anti-discrimination student movement in the capital's Banshtola area on July 19, 2024.
