Ex-MP Shafiullah passes away

Bangladesh Awami League (AL) leader and former lawmaker M Shafiullah died at his Koralia residence in the Chandpur town Saturday. He was 68, reports UNB
M Shafiulla, freedom fighter and president of Chandpur district AL, was elected MP from Chandpur-5 (Faridganj) constituency.
He left behind his wife, two sons and three daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death. The first namaz-e-janaza for M Shafiulla was held in the town, second in Faridganj Upazila Sadar while the last janaza at his native village.
He was buried with state honour at his family graveyard in Boropaika village under Faridganj Upazila Sunday.
