Ex-MP Tahjib put on remand

JHENAIDAH, Nov 08 (BSS): Former lawmaker from Jhenaidah-2 constituency Tahjib Alam Siddique has been placed on three-day remand in connection with three separate cases including two murders.
He was arrested from a house in Nabinagar of Savar on Thursday night.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Rumana Afroze placed him on a three-day remand in three separate cases, including the murder of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdus Salam.
Shaheen Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station, the police sought a 10-day remand but the court granted him three-day remand concurrently, not separately."
Tahjib was shown arrested in connection with three separate cases of vandalism, arson, explosive possession and murder with Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station on August 19, 24 and 27 this year.
