Ex-NBL chairman Zainul Haque Sikder remembered

On the occasion of the second death anniversary of the late chairman of National Bank Limited and Sikdar Group, industrialist and valiant freedom fighter Zainul Haque Sikder, prayers and milad mahfils were held in all branches of the bank across the country on Thursday, says a press release.
The prayers were offered seeking salvation of the departed soul of the deceased. Bank's senior officers, officials and employees of various levels, well-wishers, businessmen, and people of various professions participated in the programmes.
A prayer event was also held at the head office of National Bank Limited at Bangla Motor in Dhaka. Managing Director and CEO Md Mehmood Husain spoke at the event, stating, "The loss of Zainul Haque Sikder is not only a loss for the National Bank, but for the nation as a whole. He should not just be remembered as an industrialist, but as a complete human being filled with humanity. He was highly respected for his bravery as a freedom fighter and organiser of the Liberation War and his success as a businessperson was recognised both locally and globally."
Zainul Haque Sikder passed away on February 10, 2021.
