Ex-outlawed leader hacked to death in Pabna

PABNA, Nov 25 (UNB): A former leader of an extremist group has been hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in Pabna's Santhia upazila.
The deceased is Bakul Islam aged 45, son of Rowshan Ali in Rauti village under Dhopadaha union of the upazila.
Saidur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Santhia police station, said the attackers confronted Bakul on his way home around 9:30pm after delivering paddy on a horse cart to a local Jalal Master.
The miscreants hacked him and slit his throat with sharp weapons, leaving him dead on the spot, he said, adding that the body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
With this, the district has so far witnessed fourth killing this November, causing a grave concern over security.
