Excel Load Station opens at Sonamasjid

The newly-constructed Excel Load Station has been opened near Sonamasjid Land Port under Shibganj Upazila in Chapainawabganj district. Communications Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the Excel Load Station at Koilabari on the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway on Thursday afternoon. According to the Chapainawabganj district office of the Roads and Highways Division, the Excel Load Station has been constructed at a cost of Tk 6.5 million in order to control over-loading on the 34-kilometre Chapainawabganj, Shibganj, Kansat, Sonamasjid and Baliadighi Check Post road. About the reasons for constructing Excel Load Station he said, the roads cannot remain good as the vehicles carry excess load. With a view to controlling loads, the government has planned to establish load control stations by installing Excel Load Stations on roads, according to BSS.
