Excellent service from TIN helpline

Monday, 3 March 2014

I have had many bitter experiences about going to any government office. It is nothing new as it has become a day-to-day affair for a common person in Bangladesh. So, when I have to go to any government office, I become scared. We don't get that much support even when we make a phone call to any government office. If our phone is received by any of the government officials, we feel grateful.
Surprisingly, I faced a different but positive experience some days ago. I was trying to reregister Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) through the internet and faced some troubles. So, I decided to make a phone call to the helpline and to my surprise my call was received by one of the courteous officers who solved my problem in no time. When I asked for additional help, he told me that he would get the feedback and contact me within 24 hours. But I got a call from the TIN helpline office within an hour and my problem was solved without my stepping out of home.
Now, I can say that gradually our government offices are also improving their services. It is obviously a good sign and now my expectation of services from the government offices has changed. Earlier, customer service was not included in government offices. But, now, I think the situation is changing. I heartily thank the people who are behind TIN registration for their excellent service.
