Excesses are not good: Khaleda

Saturday, 24 May 2014

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday lambasted the government for preventing pro-BNP lawyers from holding a rally in the city, asking it not to 'go overboard'.
'Excesses are not good,’ Khaleda Zia said in her address at a rally of Jatiyabadi Ainjibi Forum at National Press Club in the afternoon. Khaleda said police thwarted a rally of the lawyers in Supreme Court today and prevented them from holding a rally of BNP two days ago. ‘Why don’t they allow (us) to hold a meeting anywhere? Because they are so weak that they fear people,’ she said. ‘They are still in power being backed by their foreign friends. They are using RAB to abduct and murder people. But this situation cannot continue for a long time,’ the BNP chief said, according to bdnews24.com.
