Excitement over WC cricket
Friday, 19 December 2014
The World Cup cricket is only two months away and sport loving people of Bangladesh are eagerly waiting for the grand event to start. This time Australia and New Zealand are jointly hosting the WC. Pitches will be different ?fast and bouncy. So it will be interesting to see how sub-continental teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are going to perform. The World Cup cricket was last held in Australia and New Zealand in 1992 and it was Pakistan who clinched the title.
Arch rivals India and Pakistan will face each other on 15th February and the tickets were sold within 12 minutes! The Tigers will play in pool A along with cricket giants like England, Australia and Sri Lanka. The Tigers have a realistic chance to play in the knock out stage and all Bangladeshi hope they will go to the next round. The final match will be played in Melbourne. I am waiting eagerly for the tournament to start and hope it will be a memorable tournament and we shall see plenty of actions and excitements. International cricket council must make sure that every match is played in the true spirit of the game and cricket comes out as the ultimate victors.
