Exempt kitchen markets from 8:00pm closure

Wednesday, 22 June 2022

The decision of closing all shops, industrial establishments and even kitchen markets across the country by 8:00pm looks impressive at first glance. However, we have to take reality in our consideration, too. We should not take any decision that will harm our businesses. And we must consider whether this decision is really going to alleviate traffic congestions and save electricity, or not. Have we done enough homework on this before taking this decision?
It is a common trend among city dwellers to start shopping in the kitchen market while returning home from their workplaces. If shops remain closed, most of these people have to readjust their lifestyle. So,I would like to suggest that kitchen markets can and should be exempted from the decision of 8:00pm closure.
