Saturday, 31 May 2014

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia could not join her party’s scheduled food distribution programme Saturday as she was feeling unwell.
“The BNP chairperson has been suffering from leg pains since Friday night… she was exhausted, too. So she couldn’t attend  Saturday’s programme,” her press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan told UNB.
Khaleda has been suffering from leg pains since she returned from Munshiganj Wednesday after attending a public rally there.
Maruf said Khaleda assigned senior BNP leaders, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, to attend the food distribution programme at different parts of the city.
BNP took a three-day programme of distribution food among the destitute, marking the 33rd death anniversary of BNP founder late president Ziaur Rahman.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia inaugurated the programme Friday by distributing food at 25 points of the city Friday.
