Exhibition on Indian footwear components begins in city

FE Report A two-day "Buyer-Seller Meet cum Exhibition on Indian footwear components & accessories" began at Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan area of the city Saturday. The exhibition has been organized by the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), India, in association with Indian Footwear Components Manufactures Association (IFCOMA) and the High Commission of India in Bangladesh. First Secretary (Commercial) of the High Commission of India Mr. B. Shyam inaugurated the exhibition at La-vila hall of the hotel. Mr. Nazmul Hassan Sohail, Sr. Vice President of Leather goods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh, Abdul Momen Bhuiyan, Executive Director of Apex Adelchi Footwear Limited, a leading footwear manufacturer and exporter of the country and others were present at the opening ceremony. Mr. B. Shyam appreciated the ongoing cooperation between the Council for Leather Exports, India (CLE) & local counterpart LFMEAB. Mr. Vipan Seth, Senior Executive Member of IFCOMA and Mr. Nazmul Hassan Sohail, Sr. Vice President of LFMEAB expressed their interest in continuing such efforts to the benefit of industries of both the countries.
