EXIM Bank distributes scholarships to students in Rajshahi region

Export Import (EXIM) Bank of Bangladesh Ltd distributed scholarships among meritorious and poor students of Rajshahi region as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.
The programme was held at a local restaurant in Rajshahi city recently.
Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU) Md Altaf Hossain was present as the chief guest and handed over the cheques to the students.
Audit Committee (AC) Chairman of the bank AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul presided over the programme. Director Md Nurul Amin Faruq and sponsor and formers directors Aminur Rahman Khan and Mazakat Harun were also present, among others, on the occasion.
The RU VC, in the speech, said EXIM Bank has taken up a praise-worthy scheme to encourage education of our future generation. He urged the bank authority to continue such activities in the days ahead.
EXIM Bank Audit Committee Chairman said the bank has already initiated to providing scholarships to 500 students of different educational institutions across the country by this year.
Managing Director of the bank Kazi Masihur Rahman said EXIM Bank has established its foundation with a view to functioning the CSR activities successfully.
A total of 42 students from different educational institutions of Rajshahi region including Rajshahi University and Rajshahi Medical College received the scholarships.
