EXIM Bank signs CBS software deal with Swiss co

Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited (Exim Bank) recently signed an agreement with Switzerland-based Temenos for implementing its core banking solution (CBS) T24 software in the bank.
Former managing director of Exim Bank Mohammed Lakiotullah and Temenos Business Development Manager (South and South East Asia) Sebastian Muliawan Wijaya signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Exim Bank Managing Director Kazi Masihur Rahman, SEVP Mohammed Haider Ali Miah, SVP and Board Secretary Md Golam Mahbub, VP and Head of IT Shamsur Rahman Chowdhury, and AVPs Md Shah Azam and Mahbub Alam along with Temenos Bangladesh Country Manager Abdul Hamid, Temenos local partner Datasoft Systems Bangladesh Limited Managing Director Mahboob Zaman and COO Monjur Mahmud were also present at the signing ceremony.
Exim Bank has constantly been making efforts for providing IT-driven products and services to its clients through a good number of in-house developed software.
In order to meet the growing demands of the customers and to transform the bank into a world-class financial service provider, Exim Bank has decided to go for a robust and centralised CBS that will ensure greater quality, productivity and performance.
With the implementation of the new CBS, Exim Bank is likely to be able to exceed the expectation of its clients through speedy back-office processing, customer-friendly front-office services and alternate delivery channels. It is expected that the implementation of the CBS will be completed within 12 months, said a press release.
