EXIM Bank signs deal with BEPS

Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Ltd has recently signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Electronic Payments System (BEPS) for implementing VISA branded islamic card (both local and international).
With the introduction of islamic card, the bank will be able to meet the expectations of customers who are willing to do their card based transactions in a Shariah compliant manner. There is a growing demand for such Shariah based Islamic card in the financial market.
EXIM Bank Managing Director Kazi Masihur Rahman and Chief Operating Officer of BEPS Maruf Alam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Additional Managing Director of the bank Ekramul Hoque, Deputy Managing Director Md Sirajul Islam Bhuiyan, Senior Principal Officer and Head of Card Division Emarat Hossain Khan and BEPS Senior Manager Asif Murad and Business Development Manager Ryan Dias were also present in the signing ceremony.
