Expatriate's house looted in Sylhet

SYLHET, Dec 24 (UNB): Armed robbers looted cash and valuables worth Tk 4.0 million from an expatriate's house at Dighalbak village under Bianibazar Upazila Tuesday.
Witnesses said a gang of bandits swooped on the house of US expatriate Borhanuddin Chowdhury and beat up the inmates of his family, including his UK expatriate brother, who recently returned home.
Later, they looted Tk 50,000 in cash, $400, 103 tolas of gold and other valuables at gunpoint.
Police arrested four persons in connection with the robbery. They were identified as Moyna Mia (55), Rafique Uddin (55), Emaduddin (22) and Jamaluddin (25).
A case was filed.
