Expecting housewife killed by husband

A pregnant housewife was killed allegedly by her husband over a family feud in Nabiganj Upazila in Habiganj district on Friday night. The dead is Reffat Begum, 25, wife of Raihan Uddin of Khagaura village. Mother of a three-year-old son, she was 3/4 months’ pregnant. Police said Raihan had picked up a quarrel with Reffat over a family feud and beat her up mercilessly, leaving her dead at his house at Khagaura village around 11:30pm. Later, he set the body on fire by pouring kerosene on it. Being informed, police recovered Reffat’s body from the toilet of her house in the next morning. Raihan was arrested, according to a news agency.
