Expel Prof Azhar from varsity, RU BCL demands

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Nov 8: The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Rajshahi University (RU) unit demanded today expulsion of Prof Azhar Ali from the university for his remarks over killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975.
The BCL leaders and activists also brought out a procession on the campus and placed memorandum to the vice chancellor (VC) in favour of their demand.
According to the sources, Prof Azhar Ali of the Chemistry Department at a discussion organised by BNP-backed teachers Sunday said that there was no alternative to killing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975.
