Export boost expected from next denim expo

A two-day denim expo will begin here on March 01 with high hopes for wooing overseas buyers to boost export of the quality clothing item.
Organisers said the third version of the Denimsandjeans Expo will take place at Hotel Radisson.
"The denim exports from Bangladesh are on a continuous rise," said Sandeep Agarwal, organiser and also the founder of Denimjeans.com that brings out the free latest trends, information, reports on denim from around the world.
In 2013, Bangladesh fetched $950 million from the EU by exporting denim jeans while denim apparel exports to the US stood at $466 million.
Over 210 million pieces of denim were exported to these two destinations in 2013, the organiser said.
