Export, import thru' Benapole suspended

Export and import through the Benapole land-port was disrupted since Monday morning following an indefinite strike on the Indian side. Reports from across the border said, Trinomul Congress and its allies have called the strike in West Bengal to protest the incidents of Nandigram. Hundreds of trucks with goods and commodities got stranded on both sides of the border at Benapole and Petrapole check-posts. — UNB
