Extended telecast hours for Ctg TV

Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu on Monday said the government is going to extend the telecast hours of Chittagong BTV Station very soon. “We’ve allocated the budget, and now technological supports are being put in place in this regard,” he said while replying to a supplementary question from Shamshul Huq Chowdhury (Ctg-12) in Parliament. He said the government has decided to extend the telecast hours of the Chittagong TV Station in response to the demand of the people of Chittagong division. Now locally-produced programmes are being telecast from the Chittagong TV Station during a certain period of the day, he said adding that another station like the one in Chittagong will be set up in Khulna to telecast its own programmes, according to a news agency.
