Extortionist beaten to death

CHUADANGA, Jun 2 (UNB): An extortionist was killed in mob beating at Chandpur village in Sadar Upazila Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Thandu, son of late Mojibur Rahman of Nagda village in Alamdanga Upazila of the district.
Witnesses and police aid Thandu along with some members of hisgang came to betel leaf trader Abu Taleb of the village at 7:30 pm and demanded Tk 100,000 from him as toll.
Hearing his cry for help, locals caught Thandu after a hot chase and gave him a good thrashing, leaving him seriously injured.
