Extortionists will be firmly handled, says MP-elect Minu

RAJSHAHI, Feb 13 (BSS): Mizanur Rahman Minu, the victorious BNP candidate from Rajshahi-2 (Sadar), has warned that extortionists will be dealt with firmly, reports BSS.
He said, "I was born here. I know who does what here. Everyone will be brought under control with a firm hand."
He offered Jumma prayers at the Hazrat Shah Makhdum (R.) Dargah Mosque in Rajshahi on Friday, and exchanged greetings with the people.
Later, while speaking to journalists, the adviser to the BNP chairperson reiterated his warning against extortionists.
He said, "Those who are enemies of the nation, land grabbers, extortionists, or oppressors of the people, whoever they may be, will be dealt with firmly. Those who have occupied various lands and properties over the past 17 years, and especially in the last one and a half years, will be brought under the law."
Minu added, "Rajshahi will be developed as a city of peace. Everyone who participated in this election is my brother. I want us to build Rajshahi together."
At the time, Minu's chief election agent Waliul Haque Rana, Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, and BNP leader Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, among others, were present.
