Extreme cold disrupts normal life

Shivering cold coupled with dense fog paralysed life across the country as temperature sharply fell in most places Friday. Mild cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Pabna, Jessore and Kushtia and it may continue, a weather bulletin of Met Office said.
Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight till morning, it added.
Today's lowest temperature at 9.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jessore while the highest at 30 degrees in Cox's Bazar. The Met Office said the lowest temperature in most places in northern and southwestern region was recorded between 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. Dhaka had a maximum of 26.4 C and minimum 13.4C, Chittagong maximum 29 C and minimum 15,8C, Khulna maximum 26.0C and minimum 11 C, Barisal maximum 26.6C and minimum 12.4C, Sylhet maximum 28.8C and minimum 13.2C, Rajshahi maximum 21.8 and minimum 10.5 and Rangpur maximum 23.5and minimum 11, according to a news agency.
