FA stresses importance of mkt access of Bangladeshi manufactures to US

Adviser for Foreign Affairs Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury stressed the importance of unimpeded market access of Bangladeshi manufactures to the United States (US) particularly of ready-made garments (RMG) when a group of US Congressional Staffers called on him at the Foreign Ministry in the city Tuesday morning, reports UNB.

The delegation was led by Peter Yeo, Deputy Staff Director of US House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The US Ambassador James F Moriarty was also present on the occasion.

Speaking to the media later the foreign adviser (FA) said, "Congressional staffers often play a key role in the US. I explained to them the importance we accord to our political and economic relations with the US, with whom we share so many common values.
