Factories, warehouse, oil mill gutted

SHARIATPUR, Apr 26, (UNB):A devastating fire gutted two factories, an oil mill, a warehouse and a shop at Ganganagar bazar in Sadar Upazila early Tuesday. Locals said, the fire originated from electric short circuit in a plastic factory in the bazar and soon engulfed the adjoining other shops and factories. An ice cream factory, a fertiliser storehouse, an oil mill and a wholeseller shop were burnt into ashes. Local people brought the blaze under control after three hours of frantic efforts.
