Faisal on 10-day police remand

Director of Green Crescent Faisal Mostafa and his associate Hasan Saifuddin Badal, were given to police remand for ten days when they were produced before the judicial magistrate's court at Borhanuddin Tuesday. Dr Faisal, an expatriate from London, and his associate were running the Green Crescent, an NGO, allegedly for patronising militancy. About a dozen lawyers standing for Dr Faisal pleaded for bail but the magistrate rejected the bail petitions. — UNB
