Fake currency-making factory unearthed

Detectives unearthed a fake currency-making factory and arrested 2 people in Sabujbagh area in Dhaka city on Tuesday night. The arrested were identified as Md Alauddin, 44, and Md Mamun, 42. Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted a drive at Madhya Basabo under Sabujbagh police station around 10:45pm and arrested them. The detective also recovered counterfeit currency notes worth Tk 2.3 million and forged currency making materials from them, according to a news agency.
