Fake DB held while snatching a truck in Rajshahi

Police arrested a fake detective person when he was snatching a truck at Naodara at Charghat Upazila in Rajshahi district early Thursday. The arrestee is Rabiul Islam alias Tutul, 32, son of Ajahar Ali of Mougachhi village of the Upazila. Sazzad Hossain, Inspector (Investigation) of Charghat Model Police Station, said three persons including Tutul halted an Ishwardi bound goods laden truck identifying themselves as members of Detective Branch (DB) of police around 3.30am. Subsequently, they tried to snatch key of the truck from its driver. In the meantime, a police patrol party rushed to the spot and caught Tutul red-handed. But, two other fake DB men managed to escape, according to BSS.
