Fake doctor held after death of infant in Magura

MAGURA, July 29 (UNB): The police arrested a fake physician and the owner of a clinic from the district town Monday following the death of a newborn baby due to alleged wrong treatment.
The police said Taposi Rani, wife of Gosai Biswas of Salda Lakshmipur village in Sadar Upazila, gave birth to a baby boy at Magura Surgical Clinic, owned by fake physician Jamir Hossain, Friday.
The baby underwent operation by Jamir Hossain at the clinic Sunday because of some congenital abnormalities. After the operation, the condition of the baby deteriorated.
He was rushed to the Magura Sadar Hospital where the baby died at night.
Later, Gosai Biswas with help of local people caught the clinic owner and handed him over to the police.
He also filed a case against the fake doctor
