Fake fertiliser seized in Jessore

JESSORE, Oct 25: A task force of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and the police, seized a huge quantity of fertiliser after raiding a factory at Patengali on the outskirts of the town, Saturday night.
Nurul Amin, deputy commissioner, Jessore, led the operation along with a number of the police and the RAB.
On being tipped off, the task force raided Three Star Fertiliser Factory at Patengali on the outskirts of the town Saturday night and seized some 250 sacks of TSP, 100 sacks of loose TSP, 100 sacks of dolomite, 120 sacks of jipsam, 7 sets of mixed fertiliser making machine, a swing machine and some fertiliser making materials.
BB Governor visits Jessore
Another report adds: The Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman left Jessore Sunday after a three-day tour here.
He attended a number of programmes including views exchange programme with the journalists Sunday morning and another views exchange meeting at a residential hotel Saturday night.
The governor emphasised on the need for agro based economy terming the farmers as economic freedom fighters.
The governor Saturday attended a loan distribution programme arranged by National Bank at Chaugachha and other nationalised bank branches.
